Our Story
Founded in 2022, Honi Herbals is a New Zealand wellness brand creating small-batch, fermented herbal tonics for modern daily rituals. The brand was founded by Paige Dunlop, a medical herbalist and naturopath, and began while she was studying a Bachelor of Natural Medicine, grounding Honi in traditional herbal medicine and evidence-based functional science from the outset.
While training and working clinically, Paige recognised a gap between therapeutic herbal medicine and everyday use. Honi Herbals was created to bridge that gap, offering nutrient-dense tonics that support digestion, metabolism, circulation, and immune resilience in a form that fits seamlessly into real life.
Hand-crafted in Mauao, Aotearoa, Honi Herbals tonics are slow-brewed using carefully sourced ingredients. Each formula is built on a fermented base of raw apple cider vinegar, Mānuka honey, and medicinal herbs, selected for potency, bioavailability, and flavour.
Ingredients & Sourcing
We believe the effectiveness of herbal tonics begins with ingredient integrity. Wherever possible, Honi Herbals sources locally and organically within Aotearoa.
Our apple cider vinegar comes from Coral Tree Organics on the Kāpiti Coast — raw, unpasteurised, fermented with the mother, and matured for nutritional density.
Our medicinal herbs are supplied by Native Tea Farm in Whakatāne, specialising in organically grown native and therapeutic botanicals.
Our raw Mānuka multifloral honey is sourced from Tai Tokerau Honey, a 100% Māori-owned and operated business in Northland, known for ethical beekeeping and gentle handling.
Where possible, we also use locally grown organic produce, supporting regional growers and sustainable farming practices.
